Three ways to compete

Challenges

Contests on a theme, created by people and brands, open until their deadline. Enter with a photo or a video. Some carry a prize pool.

RAW NOW

Once a day, everyone gets the same moment to shoot what is in front of them. The most-voted shots of the day, the week and the month are crowned.

Daily Event

One everyday object for everyone, at a different time each day. When enough people take part, the three most-voted shots earn Score. See all 365 objects.

Why every entry gets a fair shot

Shot live, nothing else.

No gallery uploads and no filters. Nobody enters an old masterpiece, an edited file or an AI image.

No follower head start.

A first-day account competes the same as a year-old one. The photo is what gets voted on.

Votes, not an algorithm.

Entries are ranked by people voting. No engagement model decides who gets seen.

Proof on the back.

On phones that support it, the other lens records a verification frame as part of the same shot.

Some contests carry a prize.

A challenge can come with a prize pool, funded by the person or brand who created it. In a standard challenge, 75% of the pool goes to the winners and 10% to the people who voted.

Winnings arrive as Jeton, which you can withdraw to a bank account at €0.06 per Jeton once you have 500. How Jeton works.

Actual earnings depend on challenge outcomes.

Questions

Is Rawly free?

Yes. Downloading Rawly, entering challenges and voting are free on iOS and Android.

Who decides the winner?

The community votes on every entry. In a challenge, its creator can pick the winner; if they have not picked one within three days of the close, the most-voted entry wins automatically. RAW NOW and the Daily Event are decided by votes alone.

Can I enter with a photo I already took?

No. Every entry is shot with the camera inside the app at the moment you enter. There are no gallery uploads and no filters, so everyone competes on the same terms.

Are there cash prizes?

Some challenges carry a prize pool funded by the person or brand that created them. Winners receive Jeton, which can be withdrawn to a bank account at €0.06 per Jeton from 500 Jeton. Actual earnings depend on challenge outcomes.

How often are there new contests?

RAW NOW and the Daily Event run every day. Challenges open whenever someone creates one, and anyone can.

Is Rawly a photo voting app?

Yes. Voting is half of Rawly. You swipe through entries and vote for the shots you like best, and those votes decide RAW NOW, the Daily Event and every challenge whose creator has not picked a winner.

Can I run my own photo contest?

Yes. Create a challenge with a theme, a deadline and a prize pool, and anyone on Rawly can enter. Challenges accept photos and videos.

Can I run a photo competition on Instagram instead?

You can, with a hashtag or comments, but you have to collect the entries, check them and pay the winners yourself, and anyone can enter an old or edited picture. A photo competition app like Rawly handles entries, voting and the prize pool for you, and every entry is shot live.

Which platforms run contests that pay prizes to creators?

Rawly runs community-voted photo and video challenges, some with prize pools. Snapwire, Foap missions, ViewBug and 500px Quests also run photo contests with prizes; how winners are picked varies by platform.
