Photo clubs with friends, or for your city, district or campus.

A Rawly club is a small game with its own rounds. Start one with friends, or join the club of a place where you shoot. Each round has a topic, everyone shoots it live in the app, and the club votes.

A Rawly club page: a round on a topic, the frames members shot and the club's chat The Rawly map of New York with club areas: places, clubs and challenges, never people

Two kinds of club

A club with friends.

Start a club, give it a name and invite people with its link. Members start the rounds, or only moderators if the club chooses so. Everyone shoots, the club votes.

A club for a place.

Clubs for a city, a district or a campus are opened by Rawly and sit on the map. You join with a frame shot there, and a moderator says yes.

How a round works

1

A round opens.

Someone in the club starts it with a topic of up to 60 characters: your favourite corner, after the rain, golden hour.

2

Everyone shoots.

Live, in the app, with both cameras. No gallery uploads, no filters.

3

Frames stay hidden.

A round's frames are seen only by those who shot it, so you shoot before you see the others.

4

The club votes.

When the shooting time ends, or once every member has shot, those who shot vote for their favourite frame.

5

The winner is shown to all.

Once the round is done, its winning frame is shown to every member, and it becomes the club's cover.

What stays inside a club

Clubs people start

A friend group.

The group chat, with a topic, live photos and a winner.

A family far apart.

One topic, the same evening, different cities.

A photo walk.

Shoot the same streets, then vote for the best frame.

Questions

What is a photo club app?

An app where a group shoots photos around a topic and picks the best one. On Rawly a club has rounds: someone sets a topic, everyone shoots it live in the app, then the club votes. Only members see what is inside.

How do I start a photo club with friends?

Open Clubs in Rawly, start a club, give it a name and share its invite link. Everyone who joins can play its rounds.

Can anyone join the club of my city or campus?

Only with a frame shot inside that place, and a moderator has to say yes. A link or a plain request is not enough.

Does Rawly track my location for clubs?

No. The app asks for your location only when you tap something that needs it. For a place club, your position is checked when you shoot the frame to join, and it is not stored.

Are club messages end-to-end encrypted?

No. Direct messages and group chats are end-to-end encrypted. Club threads are stored encrypted on our servers, so members can read them and moderators can review what is reported. More on encrypted messages.

Is there money or Score in a club?

No. A club has no prize pool and earns no Score. Score comes only from challenges, RAW NOW and the object of the day.
