Home / Photo game with friends

A photo game you play with friends. Shoot the same moment. The others pick the better frame.

Rawly turns photos into a game with the people you know. Send a friend a VS, shoot the same RAW NOW, or start a club with its own rounds. Every frame is shot live in the app, and everyone else votes for the better one.

Four ways to play

Send a VS.

Send a VS to friends by name, or as a link to anyone. The first to shoot plays, and everyone else picks the better shot. Then share the result, or ask for a rematch.

Shoot the same RAW NOW.

Once a day, at a random time, everyone gets the same notification at the same moment: 20 minutes, one shot, no topic. Ask a friend to shoot it too, and when you both post in time, your two frames meet in a VS.

Start a club.

Start a club with friends. Each round has a topic: everyone shoots, then the club votes. A round's frames are seen only by those who shot it. More on photo clubs.

Share your day.

RAW NOW, the object of the day and a free frame wait for you every day. Shoot them and share the day card: today's frames on one picture.

How a VS works

1

Shoot.

Every frame is taken live in the app, with both cameras. There are no gallery uploads and no filters.

2

Send it.

By name to up to five friends who follow you back, or as a link to anyone, even someone who is not on Rawly yet.

3

The first to shoot plays.

Your friend shoots their frame. If you sent it to several friends, the first one to shoot plays.

4

Everyone else votes.

Anyone you share it with can vote for the better frame, once. The two players cannot vote.

5

Share it, or play again.

Share the result as a card, or send a rematch.

Play it like a photo scavenger hunt

1

Pick a topic.

Start a round in a club with a topic of up to 60 characters: something red, after the rain, your street at night.

2

Set the time.

A round lasts 24 hours, 3 days or a week.

3

Everyone shoots live.

Nothing from a camera roll: every frame is taken during the round.

4

The club votes.

When the time is up, or once every member has shot, those who shot vote. The winning frame becomes the club's cover.

Questions

What is a good photo game to play with friends?

Rawly is a photo game you play with friends: send a VS and the others vote for the better frame, shoot the same RAW NOW when the daily notification comes, or start a club with rounds on a topic. Every frame is shot live in the app.

How do I send a VS on Rawly?

Shoot a frame, then send it as a VS to friends by name or as a link. The first friend to shoot plays, and everyone else votes for the better shot.

Can I play with friends who are not on Rawly?

Yes. Send the VS as a link. Your friend opens it, installs Rawly and shoots their frame. Rawly is for people 18 and over.

Who votes in a VS?

Anyone you share it with, once each. The two players cannot vote, and accounts that share a phone with a player cannot either.

Is Rawly free?

Yes. Rawly is free on iOS and Android, and so is every VS.

Do my friends see where I am?

No. Rawly never shows where people are. A club for a city or a campus checks your position once, when you shoot the frame to join, and does not keep it.

Is Rawly a photo scavenger hunt app?

A club round works like one: a topic, a time limit, everyone shoots live, then those who shot vote. Unlike camera-roll games, every frame is new.

Bring your friends.

Free on iOS and Android. For people 18 and over.
