Safety on Rawly: what is built in, and where it stops.
Rawly is a photo game for people 18 and over. These are the protections in the app today, written plainly, with their limits.
Built in
18 and over.
Rawly is only for adults. You give your birth date when you sign up, and it cannot be changed in the app.
Live photos only.
Every photo and video is shot in the app, the profile photo too. There are no gallery uploads and no filters.
Your second frame is yours.
Right after the main shot, the other camera takes a second frame. It is kept as proof, and you decide if others can see it.
Block, both ways.
A block stops messages in both directions and hides your posts and profiles from each other.
Reports go to people.
Rawly's moderators review what you report. If you report a chat, you choose which messages to send them, and nothing else leaves your phone.
Ghost mode.
Play under a ghost name. In public lists your username, photo and Score stay hidden.
Private account.
Make your account private and your posts reach only your followers.
Nobody on the map.
The map shows places, clubs and challenges, never people. Location is asked only when you tap something that needs it, and a spot or club check never keeps where you were.
Encrypted messages.
Direct messages and group chats are end-to-end encrypted. Club threads are stored encrypted on our servers, not end-to-end. See how it works.
No screenshots in the app.
The app blocks screenshots and screen recordings.
Votes stay anonymous.
Nobody sees who gave their photo a +1. Reactions and comments show your name.
VS by name only to mutuals.
A VS goes by name only to people who follow each other with you.
Where it stops
- Anyone you have not blocked can message you. There is no message request folder. Block anyone who bothers you, and messages stop in both directions.
- A verify code is not an ID check. It shows when a photo was taken in Rawly, not who took it or who is in it.
- Rawly does not detect AI images made elsewhere. Photos shot in Rawly are live. Rawly does not judge pictures from other apps.
- No app is completely safe. If something looks wrong, report it in the app or write to support@rawly.app.
